HydroLog (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application, HydroLog.

1. Information We Collect

A. Location Information

To provide the “Weather Adjusted Goal” feature, HydroLog requests access to your device’s approximate location (Coarse Location).

Usage: We use this location to fetch current weather data via a third-party API (Open-Meteo) to adjust your daily water intake goal based on temperature.
Storage: We do not store your historical location on our servers. The location is processed locally to make the API request.

B. Device Information

We may collect information about the mobile device you use, including the hardware model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers provided by Google Play Services.

C. Usage Data

We collect data related to your water intake, streaks, and settings.

Storage: All your intake records and personal settings are stored locally on your device. We do not have servers that store your personal hydration history.

2. Third-Party Services

A. Advertising (AdMob)

HydroLog uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your advertising ID and location data to show relevant ads. You can learn more about how Google uses data by visiting Google’s Privacy & Terms.

B. Weather Data (Open-Meteo)

We use Open-Meteo to retrieve weather information. This service receives your approximate coordinates to provide the temperature data. Their privacy policy can be found at open-meteo.com.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, you can delete all your information at any time by:

Clearing the App Data in your device settings.
Uninstalling the application.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our app is rated for everyone (PEGI 3/ESRB E). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
